The legal part of a wedding consists of 3 steps

The legal part of a wedding consists of 3 steps.

1. Declaratory Words
I do solemnly declare that I know not of any lawful impediment why I ….may not be joined in matrimony to…

2. Contracting Words
I call upon these persons here present to witness that I… do take thee…. to be my lawful wedded husband/wife/partner

3. The Signing of the Marriage Register

The rest of the service exchanging of the vows, exchanging of rings etc are ceremonial and can be performed at any location.

Civil Partnership ceremonies can have a religious aspect to their service, as my ceremonies are not restricted in any way once the legal formalites have taken place at the Registrar’s Office.

I work with my clients to get the most memorable day for the couple, so that you both have the wedding that you always dreamed about!
