Once the birth of your child has been registered at a Register Office you have the option to have a baby naming ceremony. A civil naming ceremony is similar to a Christening but is tailored to the families wishes and doesn’t have to be held in a church or other religious space. The parents can nominate adults to support and guide their baby or child, the equivalent of a godfather and godmother at a Christening. You can also include family and friends as part of the baby naming ceremony. Each baby naming ceremony is bespoke and individually written for you and your baby or child.
